Privacy Policy
Effective date: November 3, 2026. This policy explains, in specific terms, what WorkKitly does and does not collect when you visit workkitly.com and use our tools.
The short version
Our tools run entirely in your browser. No invoice, proposal, rate or payment-chasing data you enter is transmitted to or stored on our servers. The only personal information we ever receive is what you deliberately send us: a contact form message or a newsletter email address. We never sell personal data.
Tool data: stays on your device
The Hourly Rate Calculator, Invoice Generator, Proposal Generator and Late Payment Email Generator are built to work without a server. All calculations, document generation and printing happen locally, in the page, using your own browser.
That means the business names, client names, project descriptions, amounts, rates, due dates and email wording you enter into a tool are not sent to WorkKitly, not logged by WorkKitly, and not stored in any WorkKitly database. You can verify this yourself: open your browser's network inspector while using a tool and you will see no upload of the content you typed.
When you print or save a document from a tool, your browser creates that file directly. We do not receive a copy.
Local storage on your device
To save you retyping, some tools remember details such as your business name, your client names and your hourly rate. This information is saved only in your browser's local storage — a small storage area that belongs to this website but lives on your own device.
- Local storage data never leaves your device and is never sent to us.
- It is tied to the specific browser and device you used. It does not sync to other devices, because there is no WorkKitly account.
- Anyone who uses the same browser profile on your device could see what a tool remembered, so avoid saving details on a shared computer.
- How to clear it: delete this site's data in your browser settings (site data / cookies and site data for workkitly.com), or clear your browsing data. Once cleared, saved names and rates are permanently removed from that browser.
Contact form
If you use our contact form, the name, email address, topic and message you submit are sent to us by email so we can read and reply to your enquiry. We use that information only to respond to you and to handle the matter you wrote about — for example, fixing a tool bug or correcting a review.
We do not add contact form senders to our newsletter, do not use their addresses for marketing, and do not share them with third parties for marketing. Contact messages are kept in our email inbox for as long as needed to deal with the enquiry and maintain a reasonable record of it; you can ask us to delete a message by writing to hello@workkitly.com.
Newsletter
We offer a free weekly email, The Friday Charge. Our mailing list is currently being set up, and the signup form on this site is front-end only at present. If you submit your email address through that form, it will be used only for sending you the weekly email once the list is active — not for any other marketing, and never sold or rented to anyone else.
When the newsletter is fully wired up, email addresses will be stored with our email service provider solely so we can send the newsletter. Every newsletter email will include an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time with one click. You can also ask us to remove your address at any time by emailing hello@workkitly.com.
Analytics
We may use privacy-respecting, cookie-light analytics to understand which pages and tools are useful — for example, aggregate page views and which tools are opened most. Where we use analytics, we choose tools designed to minimise collection, we do not build advertising profiles of visitors, and we do not combine analytics data with the contents of any tool.
Like almost every website, our hosting servers automatically receive standard technical information when your browser requests a page, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested. This is used to serve the site, keep it secure and diagnose errors.
We never sell personal data. We do not share personal data with data brokers.
Advertising and third-party trackers
At present, this site carries no third-party advertising and no third-party ad trackers. Some links in our guides are affiliate links: if you click through to a vendor's website, that vendor's own privacy policy and cookies will apply on their site, and they may record that the visit came from WorkKitly so a commission can be attributed. That tracking happens on the vendor's site, not ours.
If we introduce advertising in future, we will update this policy first and say so clearly on this page.
Children's privacy
WorkKitly is built for working freelancers and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information — for example, through the contact form — please contact us at hello@workkitly.com and we will delete it.
Your choices
- Use every tool without providing any personal information at all — no account or email is required.
- Clear locally saved details at any time through your browser's site-data settings, as described above.
- Unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time, or ask us to delete your email address.
- Ask us what contact-form information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing us.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information — for example, by adding analytics or advertising — we will update this page, change the effective date at the top, and, where the change is significant, note it clearly on this page. The version published here is always the current one. Continuing to use the site after a change takes effect means the updated policy applies from its new effective date.
Contact us about privacy
